2004

The first half of 2004 was spent securing the safe arrival and delivery of the shipment (see below) to the relevant schools in Ghana. Great thanks go to Felicity Marks of The Street Academy Annexe project (a fantastic cause very worthy of your support - please visit the website: www.streetacademy.org.uk whose time and devotion to this was unsurmountable.

The first shipment to Ghana was collected today from Coventry and is due in Ghana in January. 22 boxes of books and clothes with a total mass of approximately 350Kg are to leave the country on Friday 19th December. The "Humanitarian Aid Trasport Services"
( http://www.hatrasportservices.co.uk ) provided us with a very reasonable quote and have arranged the transportation.

We currently have in excess of 500 books including dictionaries, reading books, mathematics text books and bibles as well as some clothes all of which have been donated to the charity. Our first project is to collect another 500 books and more clothes and to send them to the Adu Memorial School in Teshie Nungua in time for Christmas.

To acomplish this we require more books and clothes and approximately £600 in order to have the books transported to the school so please consider donating by clicking the donate link.
